Regent Mochi; Now Available at Any Grocery Stores

Mochi (餅?) is a Japanese rice cake made of glutinous rice pounded into paste and molded into the desired shape. (Wiki) Commonly, it is shaped into balls with red bean paste filling but others have different varieties of these which are sometime sold with ice cream filling, green tea flavor and even taro! Wew! Just like Milk Teas! XD

So after our exhausting thesis making yesterday, I found myself stumbled upon the Robinsons grocery store with my classmates. They bought some pastas and sauces cause they'll hang out in one of my mate's boarding house. Then I saw this! I can't really explain why I'm trapped to cute little things, yet ofcourse, it'll be always edible. :)

Regent's Mochi was launched in groceries before Chinese New Year. 10 pieces in one pack for only Php50 or USD1.23 (Php5 each).

See how cute these mochis are! So kawaii! I was just confused it they're real, I mean, real foods. They deserve a pinch! :)

Then it happened that one of my exclassmate was assigned at dessert area of McDonald's this afternoon. I ordered for a cup of vanilla sundae excluded the toppings. Then it came to my mind that it would be unfair for me if I didn't get any add on, so I switched to rice crisps! She laughed at me and told me that I had an imbalance trip. Well, just like my other trips. Deal with it. :P

I did enjoyed my rice crisp vanilla sundae!

  3. ooooh. yum yum. wonder if they sell that here. And I hope it's the same quality as the ones they sell in Japan. Some companies usually change their products for export. Like what they did with nissin cup noodles. :(
